I can't fit into this space how happy I was with my time at the Hotel Diva. My girlfriend and I could not stop talking about how cool and unique our room was from the moment we walked in. We came to the city to watch a concert and have a cool place to crash at afterwards, and after some investigation I found your hotel, made it a priority to get a reservation, and was blown away by my time there.

From the cobalt carpet, the steel chairs, leather couch, the TV! Plus the nice touch of the robes just continued to add to the moment. I will recommend this to my friends and would definitely head your way next time we come out for a show.

Thanks again, 5 stars, baby. You guys know how to treat your guests.

My boyfriend and I had a great stay at the Diva hotel. All the staff were incredibly helpful and I would highly recommend this hotel to others.

Right when we checked in on Monday, 2/12 we were greeted with a warm smile and a friendly voice. The young lady at the registration desk had short dark hair and glasses and every interaction I had with her that week was exceptionally friendly.

One night I had a horrible headache and my boyfriend went downstairs to ask for menus from local restaurants that would deliver and he came back when several. We ordered from Kim Thanh and I let the desk know that we were expecting the delivery and they sent them right up.

On checkout, we had them hold our bags and went to do a little exploring. I realized we were running late, so I called the hotel and the gentlemen said he would have our bags ready and he did.

I cannot say enough great things about the hotel. This will definitely be my choice of hotels anytime I am in San Francisco!

Thank you!

I thought the front desk staff was great. They knew me by name and were extremely helpful. The hotel itself is very nice and clean. I really love the fact that the whole building has free wireless internet and very cool internet lounges. Convenience is what this hotel is about.

Terrific, great, wonderful, super and perfect would all be a great description of my stay. Location: perfect, room: wonderful, price: super, staff: terrific, overall experience: wonderful! I’m in the city 3 or 4 times a year and, until now, have not had a hotel of choice. Now I do and it will be the Diva for me on every trip. I will tell others although I’d love to be able to keep it my little secret.

Thank you for a wonderful experience…..especially to Ruth and David!

My stay was great and in part due to the hospitality of your hotel and staff. David at the Concierge Desk went out of his way to make us comfortable and everyone else was just as wonderful. I have already mentioned your hotel to a few travelers. Since my son is performing in Jersey Boys you can be certain I will return and will immediately book The Hotel Diva for my stay.

As an aging and splendidly refurbished diva myself, I SO appreciate the Hotel Diva's zingy decor, modest chic is cheep rates, its everything-works-here rooms, its comfy beds and most of all....its charming, helpful, witty concierge and staff. Details R Diva. Our "kids" and we had a WONDERFUL two days with you, and we'll come back soon.

See you soon

I just want to say Thank You for making our Lucky 007 package a most awesome way to celebrate New Year's Eve! Excellent and helpful staff, clean and gorgeous room and a great view of the hustle and bustle of Union Square! Would highly recommend this hotel to everyone coming into town and being in the middle of it all! Can't wait to experience all of the other Personality Hotels!

Happy 007!

Last night I had to write a law school exam. Twenty (20) pages in twenty-four (24) hours! With a house guest currently at my apartment, it would have been impossible to finish the exam there. So I booked a room at the Hotel Diva. The room, for being in the heart of Union Square, was extremely quiet. It was clean, comfortable, and hip. I can't speak for the bed, however, because I was up the entire night working at the desk. It looked cozy though! Free Wireless. Free printing at the business center. A Starbucks adjoined to the hotel lobby. The experience couldn't bet better. Thank you for making a hellish night of writing not so hellish.

Cheers,
Will

My husband and I very much enjoyed our stay at DIVA in late December 2006. It was cozy, convenient, and super comfortable. The rooms are beautiful, the business center is always accessible (for free!!!), the small but tidy fitness facility is super handy, and the location is ... unbeatable! LOVED the personal service and a very hospitable, attentive staff. Hope to return to San Francisco and stay at the DIVA soon!

Hello Diva Staff,
Only one comment on our stay last week... Super! Nice trendy hotel! Location was perfect for the kind of vacation planned (roaming the city). Everywhere the staff was both helpful and courteous.
Like your Arnold used to say... I will be back!

Thanks

Marc

The Hotel Diva was recommended to us by a friend who when in San Francisco always stays at this hotel. We were in San Francisco a couple of weeks ago, and enjoyed our visit so much we decided to come back over the Thanksgiving holiday. So this was our second stay at the Hotel Diva. The staff and concierge were friendly, courteous and very helpful with questions about the City. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable. When we asked for extras, the staff responded immediately! We will definitely try one of the other Personality Hotels, but the Diva will probably be our favorite!

It was super! I would recommend the hotel in a heartbeat and have done so already. The rooms were clean, quiet, and affordable. The help at the front desk morning and night was super. They helped with directions, food and activity advise that made the time great! Recommendations given never let us down. Always were available for advise! You could tell they knew the area!

So close to everywhere and very safe!

Thank you!

Hi,

We loved your hotel so much! great to stay in such a convenient location in somewhere that doesn't look or act like every other hotel - this was the first stop on our honeymoon and all the staff congratulated us when they saw us, that was a lovely touch. we would highly recommend your hotel to anyone and would stay there again next time we are in SF.

Thank you,

Jo

Dear Sir/Madam,

My wife and I would like to thank your chain of hotels for your understanding and consideration during our recent stay in San Francisco. For first time visitors to SF we had no idea what end was what in SF until we checked into the Hotel Diva where we were treated like kings.

Gerard understood our predicament and made us feel very welcome. From then on we enjoyed the city sights, rode the cable cars and made it back from the Rock. The front desk also organised a sightseeing tour (their choice) which was brilliant. This is the hotel we have already recommended to friends who have already stayed and enjoyed it as well. Many thanks to Gerard and to the other staff! Whatever you are paying them – double it!

Thank you,
Richard and Joanne

Hi there to all at the Diva hotel,

My stay at your hotel last week was truly exceptional. What a great location, great rooms and above all great service. Ruth was great at the check-in as was all of the front desk staff, and Sam was also great. You obviously have a great bunch of people working there, it really shows.

I must mention that I loved the art work in the hallways and in the rooms. I nearly flipped out when I saw the pieces. As it turns out I saw the original installation of the Lexicon series by Georgiana Nehl and Lynda Lowe. They were on display at the Oregon School of Arts and Crafts in Portland, Oregon last fall. They are quite meaningful to me and it felt like home to have them on the walls in my hotel room.

Thanks very much for an awesome stay, you made my trip to SF an exceptional experience. Love that Mexican restaurant next door as well.

Cheers,
Marjorie

Dear Mr. Mendoza,

My wife and I spent a few days at the Diva hotel in San Francisco to celebrate her birthday. As a surprise, I wanted to find a bottle of Taittinger Blanc de Blanche champagne for her birthday breakfast. Unfortunately, I was unable to find one.

I asked Ger if he knew where I might find on. He not only knew two places, but he had worked at one. He called them to confirm they had a bottle, and then he volunteered to pick it up for me. Because I wanted this to be a total surprise for my wife, I asked him if he could deliver the bottle to the Daily Grill just down the street, so they could have it on ice and ready to drink the following morning.

Well, everything came together as planned. Everybody at the front desk got interested in helping with the event and treated us as if we were family, rather than just hotel guests.

David the Concierge was extremely helpful and friendly, as was our maid, Carmin and Jessie, who brought me a multiple outlet for my laptop and other computer peperipherals.

I don't know who is responsible, but the Diva hotel staff could not have been more helpful and friendly.

We live in Cupertino and like to spend weekends from time to time in the City. For sure, we will be back to the Diva.

Best regards,

G. William (Bill) and Kaye

Hello Queen Diva,

This is a note to commend staff member Francisco at the Hotel Diva.

On Saturday, September 30 my husband and I flew into Oakland from Chicago. We landed at 2:00 and had 4:20 tickets to tour Alcatraz. (And had a reservation at the Hotel Diva.)

Our Yahoo directions were terrible and we got lost. In a panic I called the Hotel and asked for someone who could give me directions. Though he was busy, Francisco was wonderful and calm and took all the time needed to rectify our situation. He figured out where we were (miles from where we needed to be) and got us turned around. He then gave us directions on how to get ourselves to Pier 33. We made the tour with minutes to spare.

We commend the Hotel Diva and Francisco for this wonderful assistance. We won't forget it and will gladly tell others about this great Hotel. Francisco turned what could have been a lousy start to our vacation into a wonderful event that will will tell stories about for years to come.

Sincerely,
Stacy & David

My company booked 9 rooms at the Diva while we were in town for a conference. This allowed me to fairly much see the assortment of rooms. This is no cookie cutter hotel as far as room configurations! The rooms range from adequate to large. The funny thing was how different the bathrooms are. Some have the sink in the main room, separate from the toilet and tub. In this case the bathrooms are tiny. If you get a room with the sink in the bathroom, they are nice and roomy.

The welcome bag was a nice surprise with an assortment of replacements for things you can't fly with like toothpaste, razor, breath mints (instead of mouthwash), and lotion. There was even an energy drink mix for getting you through the long day. Funny, there was no bottled water to put the drink mix in and I don't trust tap water in strange cities.

The beds are incredibly comfortable with great sheets and a cuddle comforter. I slept great every night.

Take note of the Starbucks adjacent to the lobby. If you are a coffee drinker like me, you are going to need it. There are no coffee pots in the room and the Diva only serves coffee and tea from 7 am until 10 AM. Thank God, the Starbucks is open very early and very late.

The staff was always very helpful, even reminding me to book a car to get me back to the airport, which I had totally forgotten. They really take care of you.

Hi Yvonne,

In choosing a hotel for the President and CEO of Voss Water Int’l, Janis Gardner, Regional Manger, visited our web side having heard a lot about us. She looked at the packages available and was delighted (and tickled) to see Voss water available to Diva dogs in “The Doggie Diva Package”. She sent the web site to her boss Mr. Phillipe Roederer, CEO of Voss Water, who in turn sent it to all Voss agents and distributors world wide with the heading: “Diva Dogs in SF have good taste!”

Mr. Roederer will be staying at The Diva this Fall.

Have a great week!

Yvonne,
I believe we are on a first name basis now, I did stay at one of your homes! :) I've been in the travel business for many moons now and with thousands of hotel room nights under my belt, I've never been so impressed with a property that I felt a NEED to write the president of that chain. Nevertheless, I am so inclined re: my stay over this last weekend at Hotel Diva. Even though it was a Holiday weekend and sold out, that didn't faze your staff. It started with a greeting and smile from Gerald at the front desk and it continued to escalate for the entire duration of my stay. At no time did I get the impression from anyone on your staff that they wanted to be anywhere other than here doing their job and servicing your clientele. That's the hotel I want to send my customers, coworkers, friends and family to. That's quite a feat when so many organizations are cutting back to the bone effecting service.

My hat's off to you and your staff!

Thank you,
- Val

The Hotel Diva was the best hotel I've stayed at in years--and I've done a LOT of traveling! We arrived early and expected only to be able to drop off our bags but were pleasantly surprised to find out that our room was ready. The look of the hotel lobby was very modern and sleek and our room turned out to have the same wonderful style. We chose the 'Cheap is Chic' package because we didn't need any frills but were again surprised by all of the things that accompanied it. Several great guidebook type magazines were waiting for us along with a 'welcome' package that included nice soaps, shampoos, lotions and a condom. Even the two upscale bottles of Norwegian water were complementary! The bed and the pillows were so comfortable and CLEAN--I was sad that we only stayed one night. I have been recommending this hotel to everyone I know and will definitely stay there again.

I can't say enough about this place--the staff answered all of our questions with enthusiasm and it was clear that they wanted us to have a great time. On top of that, the price was amazingly affordable. The Hotel Diva is THE place to stay in San Francisco!

My husband and I are "wing-it" type of people. Married 33 years and 4 grown kids later, we travel whenever the urge hits us. This time it was a quick planned trip to San Francisco. And wow....were we impressed with Hotel Diva. The room, though we were told that we had one of the smaller rooms, was very quiet, clean, and well supplied with extras to include a welcome gift bag. The air conditioner worked great and the water was soft and hot. The queen bed was very comfortable with high quality linens. But it was the staff that impressed us the most. David, thank you, thank you, thank you. Two weeks later, back home in New York, we are still talking about our wonderful experience! Highly recommended!

June, 2006

I arrived a sunny day in June.
My son to be capped a doctor very soon.
I went to find my confirmed hotel
I approached the desk of Hotel California, It... reminded me of Hell.
I ran out and was guided two doors away
The Hotel Diva. Is what I found, and where I wanted to stay?

My name is StarDiva on the Poetry Internet.
A writer a poet, and a sexy chick, so in I checked
The hotel is where I belonged
The staff is so nice
I could never go wrong
You had to be sexy and a Star to stay here
It was me to a tee. This was evidently clear
Silver walls. And pillows of velvet grey
When I come back to San Francisco. This is again where I will stay
So as I leave and say goodbye
I feel like a Star shining so bright in the San in the Francisco Sky
Watch for the Star that sparkles for you at night.
Star Diva stayed here, shining so Bright.
Thanks for a great time and service, helpful. And your Shining Light

- Star Diva

Cinco de Mayo + 5, and the Diva is in full swing. Dan at the front desk is pure SF attitude - all good. Thanks to David (I’ll get the bags right away), Benny, the valet’s (they park em in another zip code, but they pull up in no time, and somehow the radio is set for Salsa and the City is calling you a star... Let’s keep going and thank all the staff and management that make the Diva the place where the elite come to meet, greet, and eat some beets (well maybe drink Tequila next door, but you get the idea). Lefty’s is close by if your grandma drops by and wants a Turkey Dinner with all the fixins in June. Max’s will keep anyone full. Jazz clubs and freezing tourists in shorts with one eye closed hang off the cable cars, and scantily clad everyone is enjoying the sun (finally) in Union Square. From the perch at the Diva, there’s not much you can’t see or hear. You’re big time in all the papers and across the street, but sorry Martin Short, room 714 is booked, so take a numbah! You just can’t buy carpet more blue than this - I swear!

I wanted to thank you and your staff for the treatment my husband and I received during our last stay with you (April 2006). The entire experience exceeded our expectations. Ruth was incredibly helpful, and David went above and beyond to make our stay as pleasant as possible. He even saw us going into Starbucks next door and took our shopping bags to hold in the hotel until we were ready for them! We have already recommended you to some friends and will not hesitate to do so in the future. Many thanks again for making our stay so comfortable in SF.

I wanted to share with you my experience at one of your hotels in San Francisco, Hotel Diva! I can not begin to tell you what a fabulous time we had. The hotel itself is beautiful, comfortable and fit for any Diva! But it was not the looks of the hotel that I fell in love with (however it was WONDERFUL) it was the personalities of your staff! We will continue to patronage your hotel each time we stay in San Francisco. Thank you for allowing us to celebrate with you!

I stayed at the Diva for 10 days in January while attending Macworld 2006, and was very impressed by the hotel's standard, the staff was very professional and friendly, and the location is perfect. The free wireless was excelent, the rooms were very confortable and clean. I can only recommend it to all travellers from Europe on a vacation in San Francisco. I will certainly come back !!

November, 2005
I had friends in town and wanted to spend time with them. I didn’t have the space at my house so I booked rooms at the Hotel Diva on Geary Street... we stayed in a fabulous room on the Geary Street side. Our room was fantastic...awesome blue carpeting, and the beds were so comfortable. The decor of the room was sexy and sleek as mentioned. Nothing like I expected. Most Boutique Hotels beat each other out with color thrown everywhere. Not always a pretty thing to look at. With the Diva, I could invite business associates in the room to have a meeting if needed and feel comfortable. One of my friend's is telling his boss about the guest rooms and how business but sexy it is. Thank you Hotel Diva for being so diverse and accepting.
I will recommend The Hotel Diva. Thank you!

October, 2005
I recently stayed at the Hotel Diva with Allison Grodner's 5th floor productions (we were shooting the TV show). You met us at the door and provided me with a bottle of wine in the room). I wanted to thank you for your hospitality. I LOVED your hotel and my room. I hope I get the chance to stay there again in the future.

My first trip to San Francisco was 2 weeks ago and I wanted to comment on one of your employees at Hotel Diva. His name is Neal and was at the front desk. Neal needs to be commended on his outgoing personality and his caring for his guests. He went out of his way to see our stay with you was the most fab ever. We are STILL talking about our stay at Hotel Diva and San Francisco. Your hotel is highly recommended.
- And thank you again, Neal, for being you !!!!

June 30, 2005
I just wanted to say that my daughter and I very much enjoyed staying at Hotel Diva. We found your hotel on the internet, and were very pleased with the hotel when we arrived. Everything was wonderful, your staff was friendly and helpful, and I will definitely recommend this hotel to my friends. The bathroom was exceptionally clean, which is always nice! I was a little nervous traveling without my husband, but felt very safe at Hotel Diva.
Thanks for doing such a great job!

Again a big round of thank yous and applause for the Kensington. My girlfriend and I had a wonderful time shopping, eating in Chinatown, and riding the cable cars down to the wharf. Exactly what was needed! Room 90 @the Kensington is beautiful! The view's at night are spectacular and we were even serenaded by a lone saxophonist playing on the corner of Post on Friday night... what a delight! As always the staff (especially Bob) was wonderful and accommodating. I can not tell you enough that out of all the business traveling that I do as well as pleasure, that I enjoy my stays at the Kensington the most.

I wanted to take a moment and thank you again for your assistance in securing a registration at the Hotel Union Square this past Saturday. My girlfriend and I throughly enjoyed our stay in San Francisco (the weather was extremely cooperative compared to Sacramento!) and the Junior Suite that you upgraded us into was lovely! I enjoyed sitting at the window watching the crowds move up and down Powell after dark. I look forward to my next visit within the next month or so and would be happy at either the Kensington Park (which I adore) or the Hotel Union Square.

I really enjoyed the Ho! Ho! package in Dec and Jan and look forward to Christmas shopping there again next year.

September, 2005
We all enjoyed the Diva and found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. Thanks so much for helping to make that happen. Our shoots went very well and we were happy with the stories that we booked. Working with Trisha was absolutely the best-she is a great person and really helped us out a lot with Scoma's. I am not surprised that you two are friends! I hope you're having a great week-I am off to NY tomorrow for a little vacation... the adventures never cease!
